The Grand Canyon is full of historical trails, let’s take a look at one of them! Here’s the story of the Bass Trail….

Booking a trip with Hatch is an easy and enjoyable experience. We get great reviews every season on the ease of our reservation process and how responsive and helpful our office staff is. We believe this is something that sets us apart in the industry. Here are the reasons booking with Hatch is the best!
We are a small family owned business with an office staff of four friendly women ready to chat with you on the phone whenever a question arises! Give us a call during office hours or shoot us an email if you’re up in the middle of the night mulling over what shoes to pack.
We may not be guiding trips, but all of us in the office have been on at least 2 river trips and can offer you real advice. We know the nuance that comes with booking a motor vs. oar trip, going in May vs. July, going to the bathroom in the Canyon, length and strenuousness of hikes, etc.
Most of our reservation process is online these days, but for anyone who has an aversion to technology, we are here to walk you through the process to make sure nothing gets missed.
Because we spend so much time creating and updating comprehensive trip documents, loading our website with helpful information and speaking to our customers before their trips, we believe our guests are the best prepared in the canyon! We want you to be as prepared as possible, so once you make it to the river, you can sit back and enjoy the immense beauty and adventure in front of you!
I appreciated that I was able to speak with someone about details of the trip before making a deposit. The person I spoke with was well informed about the process and gave me the confidence I needed to slap down the deposit. That hand holding and patience was important to me as I worked through my decision – this was a huge financial commitment for my husband and I, but worth every penny. – Leslie Carroll

Hiking the bright angel trail can be a strenuous endeavor, so many of our guests use our duffel bag service to make the hike just a bit easier!
At Hatch, we don’t only care about running amazing river trips for our guests, we also act as advocates for outdoor recreation throughout the country.
