Why S-Rigs Are the Perfect Boats for Grand Canyon There are countless types of boats in the world, and each serves a different...

It can be tricky to plan an adventure vacation in a remote location. Luckily for you, Hatch has done everything we can to make our trips as turnkey as they can be. So, what’s the most all-inclusive rafting trip in Grand Canyon?
This trip is our most popular, most accessible, and easiest-to-plan.
Here’s the rundown of what it includes:
You won’t spend hours on a bus getting to Lee’s Ferry the morning your trip starts. Instead, you’ll wake up already close to the river at a lodge in Marble Canyon. You can sit down to a delicious breakfast, and have plenty of time to gather your things without being rushed.
Orientation begins right outside in the parking lot at Cliff Dwellers Lodge, then you’ll load into vans for a 15-20 minute scenic drive to Lee’s Ferry where your boats are waiting.
What’s included:Hatch books and pays for your room, so you don’t have to worry about extra logistics or fees.
Many guests, especially if they’re in the Southwest, drive their own vehicles to Marble Canyon and park at our warehouse (next door to Cliff Dwellers Lodge) over the course of the trip.
If you’re from a bit farther away, we recommend using Las Vegas as your hub. You can fly into Harry Reid International airport and book a ground shuttle with Bar 10 Transportation directly to Cliff Dwellers Lodge.
You won’t need to worry about life jackets, sleeping bags, tents, dishes, or other rafting and camping essentials. We provide good quality, easy to use, commercially laundered gear at no extra charge.
That means, you’ll only need to worry about your own personal gear—clothes, shoes, sunscreen, cameras, and things of that nature. Don’t worry, we’ll provide you with a comprehensive packing list tailored to your trip style to help you decide what to bring. We have even more packing tips on our website, and we’re always available to answer your questions if you aren’t sure about something.
What’s included:LIFEJACKET: A Type V adjustable PFD (or personal floatation device) that will be custom fitted to you and then stay with you throughout the trip.
DAY DRY BAG: A water tight bag (8” diameter and 20” long with a 16L volume) that you can use to store the gear you need to access and keep dry throughout the day.
NIGHT DRY BAG: A water tight bag (18” diameter and 31” long with a 127L volume) that will contain your sleep kit and a duffel bag of everything you don’t need during the day.
COT: A collapsible aluminum frame cot with a mesh bed surface (74” long, 28” wide, 15” off the ground)
SLEEP KIT: Everything you need for a good night’s sleep
TENT: One easy to assemble, 3-person, dome-style tent for every two people; fits two cots inside
CHAIR: A folding camp chair
KITCHEN: A fully equipped camp kitchen, including cookware and reusable dishes and cutlery
HATCH MUG FOR YOU TO KEEP: A souvenir 18oz, double wall, vacuum insulated coffee mug with a paracord handle that can be clipped around your gear
After our guests finish their trips, they tend to rave about 3 things: the guides, the Grand Canyon, and the food! We provide 3 delicious, balanced meals every day on the river, along with snacks and basic beverages. The guides do all the cooking, and they have learned to be excellent camp chefs!
As an added bonus, we don’t charge extra if you have dietary restrictions. For a sample menu and full details about the dietary accommodations we are able to make, we recommend reviewing our risks and requirements page.

On the last day of your trip, get ready for a once in a lifetime experience—flying in a helicopter over the Grand Canyon. Hatch trips camp at the beach beside the helicopter pad, and are the first ones out of the canyon. You’ll catch one final glimpse of the place you’ve called home for the last week, then turn your eyes toward the Bar 10 Ranch. This guest ranch is the perfect place for a layover before the next leg of your journey—they even have showers!
From the Bar 10 Ranch, you’ll board a plane that will take you either back to Marble Canyon (if you left a car there at the start of your trip) or to Las Vegas (if you chose that as your hub). Some guests even choose to extend their vacations with an extra day or two in Las Vegas.
There is nothing like a rafting trip in Grand Canyon. It is truly a life-changing experience. The views are incredible, the magical hidden places you’ll visit feel like stepping into another world, and the bonds you form with others on your trip can last a lifetime. The fact that this is the most all-inclusive trip in Grand Canyon turns out to just be a bonus.
