Today we had a wonderful visit in the office with some of our Arizona river runners. Bill Quigg and his daughter Leslie stopped in to visit with us here in Flagstaff. After visiting with them we felt compelled to share some wonderful words from a wonderful lady. Veteran river runner, Sue Quigg, passed away this summer and to say she will be sorely missed is an understatement. In her spirit we wanted to share her wonderful thoughts about her river trip this summer.
"Kelly Wagner, our guide and Chelsea DeWeese, our swamper were by far the best we have ever had. They worked so well together which made for a memorable trip. I cannot say enough about Kelly who was the best boatperson out of our nine trips. From the beginning of the trip to the end she took on the leadership role and provided us with information about the Canyon far beyond our expectations. KELLY was very knowledgeable and acted with information to the many questions that were asked, and met the needs of our family and friends. There wasn’t one time where I saw her lose her patience. Her wonderful smile and special attitude made us all enjoy our experience. I never once worried about our safety. She could maneuver the raft through the rapids like an experienced boatperson who had done this for many, many years. Her skill, expertness, talent, capabilities were demonstrated throughout our 8 days…Hatch should be proud of this young woman since she represents you so well.
Our theme that week of June 5th to the 12th was: “Rafting on the Colorado with family and friends is indescribable, magical, and breathtaking”. Being with Hatch and having Kelly and Chelsea as our team was indescribable and magical!!! What a combination!! I described Kelly above with her special gifts. Chelsea had a special way of making our trip everything we wanted it to be. We loved her winning attitude and special way of relaxing us with her many humorous stories and readings especially at bedtime. Thank you for honoring our request to have these two ladies. We are so grateful!!!!"
